Hardcore Hookin
Spring is the time for Walleyes on rivers. Wisconsin River, Fox River, and Rock River above Koshkanong Lake are Collin’s “bread and butter” this time of year. These trips can target numbers, “eaters,” and trophies depending on the location and specific time of March through April. In May when our season opens it’s on to Muskie, Walleye and Bass. This is a great time of year to catch shallow walleyes across the state, many times being able to “site fish” in certain clear water lakes. Bass are gearing up for their spawn and often not far.
Musky – Starting the first weekend in May many trips are booked for Musky. Fish are shallow, concentrated, and huge pre to post-spawns females are caught. Outings in May to mid-June consist of mostly casting, but many days of 3-10 musky are had!
Crappie – Collin will run Crappie trips from April through opening day, in May. Using his Garmin Livescope, clients are able to find and stay on packs of hundreds to thousands of Crappies, cast after cast. Selective harvesting is enforced for these trips.
